When I first started this website, I dreamt that we would one day help people all over the world live better social lives. Today, with 12 incredible team members and over 900 000 monthly visitors worldwide, we have hit that goal.
Back in 2013 I decided to register the only domain name I could find that was not already taken: socialpronow.com. It was always the plan to one day, when we had the resources, acquire a name that better suited our purpose. Well, today is that day. We now start the renaming process of our company.
Our new name is SocialSelf.
This means that we also change our website address from socialpronow.com to socialself.com.
We like this name a lot. It’s an alliteration, making it easy to remember. It has positive connotations: The psychological concept “the social self”, self-improvement, self-help, being yourself.
Over the coming days, we will transition all parts of our business to this new name. This means that the site gets a new website address and a new logo. Everything else stays the same, and we’ll continue to be your source for the most well-researched, accurate, and actionable advice on how to improve your social life.
